Born in Zhejiang, China, and brought up in Italy, Weili Zheng started his first collaborations in London, later moving into the US market. After years of working in the international fashion, Weili has coined the term for its iconic female: fun chic. A new style of urban and streetwear that reflects the essence of the contemporary woman, born from the contamination and a free vision of geographic borders.
The Zheng Weili collections, designed by an international creative team all female, are a contrasting game where the Italian sartorial tradition meets unusual materials: colored neoprene, hemp and textures that remind wood and marble clash with wings lace, organza, linen, gold jersey and revisited Saharianes. The prints are inspired by the typical geometric cut of the ’70 clothes.
